Today’s prompt was to take a shortish poem and reverse every word… ‘dark’ becomes ‘light’, and so on…… I went REALLY short ….

(from Dorothy Parker)

Candy is dandy

But

Liquor is quicker

my version:

Meats are neat

While

Water was molasses

and then because this was so short…

(from Carl Sandburg)

The fog comes in on little cat feet

It sits looking over harbor and city

On silent haunches and then moves on.

My version: (totally senseless .. or at least close to that….)

The blue sky departs

Off huge dog ears

It stands blindly

Underground and below farms

Off noisy shoulders

And then stays put.
